  Project Co-ordinator's Report

In the previous two issues of the Wolfpack, I outlined our project to collect and copy photographs of family members, places and gravestones etc. in order to compile a computer photographic database. If you have thought of sending me any images but, like me, time is not on your side, do not fret! I think this is going to be a long-term project and may take some time to build. However, should you discover some photos that you think will be useful to IRS members then please let me know and we can decide how best to copy them.

Please do not send any original photographs through the post but instead contact me at the address given on the “Committee Members” page if you would like to discuss how best to make your photos available for others.

I am aware that many people may have photos but may consider them poor quality, creased or stained and may therefore refrain from sending or making copies. However, once copied onto a PC, there are a number of software programs that can be utilised to enhance the poor quality images and eradicate these imperfections. I believe a number of tabloid newspapers uses this technology all the time!!

I wish you all happy hunting and look forward to receiving copies of your photos (creased or otherwise).
